McGeady's Town Pub DEAD Pool Rules

1. A person and a cause of death are needed for a complete selection. No individual famous person can be used for more than 1 team. The same cause of death can be chosen by more than 1 person, with the side bet pot being split between persons with correct cause of death selection. For example, Jim Leland by way of Choking on salad in a post-game interview.

2. Famous Persons only. The Creators (2) of the pool will decide if a person selected is of famous stature or not. The decision will be made immediately after selection.

3. Names will be drawn to determine selection order every month.

4. When the pool extends past the end of the month with no winner, another round of names will be selected by all pool participants. You may keep your previous selection or select a new person. Same rule applies for cause of death choice.

5. $5 Buy-in. 

• Initial buy-in fee paid upon entry to pool. Once a winner is declared, pool starts over with new buy-in fee.

6. $6/month fee.

• $5 towards individual selected. $1 towards cause of death. If a person would like to join after the pool has started, they will have to pay for previous months before entering current pot (pool length= 9 months; $5 buy-in + ($6 x 9)= $59)

7. Length of time each person selected will last is 30 days. The first pool will start Wednesday January 4, 2013 @ 9pm.

8. You do not have to be physically present for the pool selection. Text, Face time or Skype are available options. Once your name is selected you have 3 minutes to choose your famous person. If after 3 minutes, a selection has not been made, the next person in line may select, with the previous person having the ability to select at any time after that.

9. A selection cannot be made until payment has been accepted. PayPal is available. A 6% fee will be added to PayPal payments to cover PayPal charges. Include your name and contact # to be reached at for your selection to be made. Include 6% fee charge with your payment as well.

10. If the situation of someone coming back to life arises, the winner must pay winnings back into current pool.

The first draft of 2013 was selected at promptly 9:22 PM, on Jan 4th.  Below are the initial selections.  Keep in mind, draft selections and order will be chosen the first Friday of every month, at 9 PM.  You will have 3 minutes to either keep your pick, or select a new person, so be on the ready, whether on site or by phone\txt.
